A kitchen display system that updates the moment an order is fired

Kitchen order tickets (KOTs) by station, sent in rounds, updated live on the kitchen screen and printed on the kitchen printer.

When the counter fires an order, the kitchen screen updates in about a second — no refresh, no polling lag. Each station sees only its own tickets: drinks to the beverage station, mains to the hot kitchen, desserts to dessert.

A table orders drinks, then food, then dessert. Each round is its own kitchen order ticket (KOT 1, KOT 2, KOT 3) against one bill, and a ticket carries only its own round, so the second ticket never reprints the first.

How it works

  1. 01

Tickets move new → preparing → ready → served

The kitchen taps a ticket forward; served tickets leave the board, and the floor sees what is ready.

  2. 02

Nothing cooked disappears from a bill

Once a line is on a kitchen ticket, its quantity cannot be quietly lowered. Someone is cooking it.

  3. 03

    Reprint a ticket

For a paper jam or a ticket someone binned, send it to the kitchen printer again from the board.

  4. 04

    Live, with a safety net

Updates arrive over a live connection, and the board re-reads itself every 20 seconds, so a dropped signal can never leave the kitchen with a wrong board.

Questions about kitchen display

What is a KOT?
A kitchen order ticket: the list of items one station has to prepare for one round of an order. EasyTable creates one per station per round.
Do kitchen tickets print as well as show on screen?
Yes. A fired round is queued for the kitchen printer and shown on the kitchen display at the same time.
